Abstract:
The key problem of the international and regional agenda, including the recent summit of the African Union in Addis Ababa (30-31st of January 2017), is still the prevention of conflicts in Africa, the settlement of military and political confrontation in South Sudan. The article analyzes the impact of the regional community via the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) on policy in the region, from the time of formation of the organization to nowadays.
