Political Leadership and Electoral Processes in the Fourth Republic of Ghana

Abstract:

The article is devoted to the formation of electoral processes in one of the most economically and politically stable countries of Sub-Saharan Africa. It considers the nature of Ghana’s political leadership during the Fourth Republic and the role of the country’s leadership in the democratic transformation of the political system. The paper dwells on the specific characteristics of the relations between individual political leaders, as well as between them and the most influential groups of the electorate.
