Статья посвящена формированию электоральных процессов в одном из наиболее стабильных как в экономическом, так и в политическом отношении государств Тропической Африки. Рассматривается характер политического лидерства в Гане в период Четвертой республики и роль руководства страны в демократической трансформации политической системы. Исследуется специфика взаимоотношений между отдельными политическими лидерами, а также между ними и наиболее влиятельными группами электората.
