Женщины-комбатанты в африканских войнах и конфликтах

Аннотация:

В большинстве африканских национально-освободительных движений и повстанческих группировок число женщин-бойцов достигало и достигает от 10 до 30% их рядового состава, многие из них становились полевыми командирами. Авторы по-новому трактуют роль женщин в африканских войнах, рассматривая их не как жертв насилия, а как полноправных участников вооруженного противостояния между сторонами в конфликте. Анализируются причины и последствия присоединения женщин к повстанческим движениям. Авторы приходят к выводу, что участие африканок – с оружием в руках – в гражданских войнах перестает быть аномалией и в известном смысле отражает «успехи», достигнутые ими в борьбе за гендерное равенство.
