Ethiopia: the Ethnopolitical Situation in the State of Southern Peoples

Abstract:

The article for the first time analyses complex ethnopolitical situation in the most heterogeneous Regional State of Ethiopia. The author shows the roots and causes of inter- and intraethnic relations and conflicts, struggle of ethnic groups for self-determination and identity, as well as competition of ethnic elites for power and recourses.
