Abstract:
The article gives an analyses of the ethno-political situation in one of the conflictogenial states of Ethiopia – Benishangul-Gumuz, interethnic relations between the most numerical ethnic groups Bertha and Gumuz and also between these titular nationalities and the non-titular nationalities, settlers Amhara and Oromo. The introduction of ethnic federalism changed the situation: non-titular ethnic groups in all states became new minorities. Their struggle for the constitutional rights and the participation in administration extremely aggravates the situation in the state.
