Russian telecommunication companies in Africa

Abstract:

The article describes the positions of Russian operators in Africa’s telecommunications industry. The author argues that Africa’s ITC market has an immense potencial: high growth rates of mobile phone and internet – subscribers, a pronounced tendency for growth of the middle class and its level of consumption. The attention is paid to problems in maintenance of effective connections.
