Abstract:
The article deals with the socio-economic impact of transport development in East Africa. It is noted that the present state of the transport infrastructure in the region is a serious obstacle which hinders its socio-economic development and requires immediate solution. The main attention is paid to role of railway construction in solving the most urgent problem of employment.
