Abstract:
The article deals with the interconnection of the electoral processes (e.g. presidential elections) and political crises in Madagascar during various historical periods of independent Madagascar. The author gives the analysis of the components of political crises and different combinations of the components in every particular case. This article contains as well a brief review of Madagascar’s main political parties, their activity in the political life and especially in the electoral processes. Special attention is paid to the political crisis of 2009–2013 and the ways of its regulation.
