Cultural anthropological studies on Africa. New objects for research

Author:

Oleg Kavykin

Abstract:

In recent decades, Africa has seen a number of significant changes: urbanization, modernization, the transformation of traditional institutions, migration, the growth of African diasporas outside the continent. In this regard, there is a need for both the study of new forms of social organization in the actual historical context, and the development of new approaches to the anthropological study of this continent. The search for new objects is also connected with the development of the anthropological knowledge itself, which also changes in the historical context.

Keywords: cultural anthropology, objects for study, new approaches, Africa, culture, diasporas, identities
