Аннотация:
Статья посвящена племенному аспекту ливийской политики. В рамках работы на примере племенных объединений варфалла и туарегов показано, какую роль социальные группы данного типа играют в жизни страны. Основные источники исследования – сообщения зарубежных и российских СМИ, а также отчёты международных экспертных организаций. На основе изученного материала сделан вывод, что племенные объединения ведут самостоятельную политическую линию в текущем ливийском кризисе, а система их взаимоотношений представляет собой институциональную альтернативу централизованному государству.
